This week, more star-studded names were announced for the upcoming Gromit Unleashed 3 trail. The red carpet is officially alive with the likes of Netflix, Roald Dahl and some major movie-inspired stars.

The GU-Listers

Wednesday

Leading the line-up and reimagined by Netflix, Feathers McGraw makes his debut as ‘Wednesday’, inspired by the smash-hit series. Sponsored by Burges Salmon, ‘Wednesday’ will bring her signature deadpan look to the iconic Temple Meads station. Painted by Ruth Broadway, there’s nothing like a friendly face to welcome trail-goers to Bristol!

The Big Friendly Wallace

Introducing our very own Snozzcumber eating ‘The Big Friendly Wallace’ inspired by Roald Dahl’s “The BFG” and Sir Quentin Blake’s acclaimed illustrations. He’s here to catch your good dreams, sip fizzy Frobscottle from his teacup, and wait for the whizzpopping to begin! Painted by Laurie Stansfield, and sponsored by Yeo Valley Organic, ‘The Big Friendly Wallace’ will be delivering dreams from The New Inn Blagdon this summer.

Norbot

And finally, a hotly anticipated celeb makes his red-carpet debut. Straight from Wallace & Gromit’s latest escapade in Vengeance Most Fowl, which will be released on Netflix in the UK on 25 June, ‘Norbot’ the ingenious, Neat and Tidy gnome has brains, gadgets and a no-nonsense attitude. Combining die-hard determination and gnome-alone genius with a knack for handling everyday tasks with precision, Norbot is the epitome of British charm. Sponsored by Bristol Masons and painted by artist Bridget Phelan, Norbot will be impressing Park Street, outside the Freemason’s Hall, with his presence on this year’s trail thanks to our friends at Aardman.

Walk the Lime

Next in the cast lineup is ‘Walk the Lime’ – a citrus-infused homage to the 2005 Johnny Cash biopic, with zesty vibes and a cheeky lime perched right on his nose. Trail favourite, Katie Wallis, has made sure that this pup, sponsored by and located at Wai Yee Hong, is sure to brighten everyone’s day.

Ringmaster

We also have a touch of the circus rolling up to the red carpet. Welcome to the Greatest Dog Show on Earth! ‘Ringmaster’, with a flair worthy of P.T. Barnum himself, is decked out in a tailcoat and perfectly balanced top hat. Let this show-stopping pup entertain you with all the thrills and spills of the circus. Created by Tozer Signs, and with thanks to the Hitchings and Milner family, our very own ‘Ringmaster’ has show-stopping charm. He’s ready to take up residence outside Bristol Children’s Hospital this summer.

The cause behind the paws…

While it’s easy to become starstruck, Gromit Unleashed 3 isn’t just about sculpture spotting. At its heart, our trails take place to raise funds for sick babies and children at Bristol Children’s Hospital and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. 

Through the unprecedented success of our first two Gromit Unleashed trails and Shaun in the City, we’ve generated over £20 million for The Grand Appeal and Cots for Tots. This money helps change the lives of children like Fred.

So, every day you spend sculpture hunting this summer, you’re supporting sick babies and kids from across the South West.
