Nationally-loved fashion brand Scamp & Dude is raising money for the brave patients in Bristol Children’s Hospital. Helping them in their mission is Ruth Crilly – beauty guru and incredible Grand Appeal supporter – who knows first-hand how amazing your children’s hospital is. Read on to learn more about our partnership and how you can grab your own Swag Bag.

Swag Bags with Purpose

Scamp & Dude’s ‘Swag Bags with Purpose’ campaign brings together some of the biggest names in the beauty and fashion industries to design and create their own stunning cosmetic bag in the iconic Scamp & Dude style.

We are so lucky to have the support of renowned beauty influencer Ruth Crilly, who has created a stunning cosmetic and makeup bag in pink with a rose gold foil lightning bolt print. These bags will raise money for brave patients and their families in Bristol Children’s Hospital. In both small and large sizes, this bag is the perfect gift for the makeup lover in your life – or even a well-deserved present for you!

I support The Grand Appeal because of the invaluable support it gives Bristol Children’s Hospital, who in turn provide exemplary care for so many families.

£10 from the sale of every make-up bag, and £15 from the sale of every cosmetic bag, goes straight to Bristol Children’s Hospital. This money will help fund a range of vital services, from free family accommodation to play and music therapists and life-saving equipment.

What Bristol Children’s Hospital means to Ruth

Ruth, who lives near Bristol, has seen just how wonderful the support from the staff at Bristol Children’s Hospital is. Rio, the son of a friend, who has Down’s Syndrome, has continuously received excellent care and treatment over the years.

Rio has been part of the Grand Appeal family since he was born – his family staying in one of our three free home-from-homes, Cots for Tots House. Since then, Rio and his family have received support from Bristol Children’s Hospital in the shape of care and treatment, music, art and sensory play therapy and more. And now his family are regularly a part of our fundraising photoshoots!

I cannot imagine how difficult it must be to have a child who needs this care, both emotionally and logistically. The fact that The Grand Appeal provides care that goes beyond the medical, helping support families emotionally, mentally and by offering free accommodation so they can be close to their children… this added level of compassion and thought is something that can make the world of difference to families who have already had their lives turned upside down.
