For the third year, we’ve lit up the outside of Bristol Children’s Hospital with the help of some incredible businesses and generous individuals from across the South West. Read on to hear all about how this year’s Christmas hospital lights are changing lives!

Bristol Children’s Hospital and St Michael’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) need new, life-saving ventilators this Christmas. This piece of equipment helps the sickest children breathe, helps their bodies heal, and gives our incredible NHS staff more time to make them better.

This Christmas, Bristol’s most amazing businesses and individuals are helping make this a reality.

Bristol’s favourite festive Aardman characters, Gromit, Shaun the Sheep and Feather’s McGraw, as well as sparkling stars, are lighting up the walls of your children’s hospital in a stunning animation that runs from 4:30 – 10pm every evening in December. Every light sponsored raises funds for these life-saving ventilators.

This year’s design features our lovable characters in snowglobes. Each time the snowglobe shakes, snow falls – and the character changes! Stars are dotted around the display, reaching all the way across the front wall of the hospital.

Mia, who spent her first Christmas in hospital, had access to this vital piece of equipment when she was born at just 26-weeks thanks to your continuous generosity and support.

We spent 174 days in Bristol and for 30 of those days, Mia was ventilated. I am certain it saved her life. Please donate this Christmas and fund new ventilators to help even more sick children.
