Welcome to Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, the only charity fundraising exclusively for the Bristol Children’s Hospital and St Michael’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Special Care Baby Unit).

The Grand Appeal fundraises to provide comforts and facilities for patients and their families whilst in hospital. Bristol Children’s Hospital and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit provide world-class care to babies and children from Bristol, the South West of England and in some cases the whole of the UK and overseas.

There are many ways you can help fundraise for The Grand Appeal, please click on the Support Us Tab at the top of the page to see how you can support the inspirational care provided by the care teams in the Hospital’s delightful child-centred, family-friendly environment.

Thank you for all your support,

The Grand Appeal Team

The independence of Wallace & Gromit's Grand Appeal

and The Cots for Tots Appeal

On December 29th 2009, The Times and other newspapers reported the Government may force hospitals to include charitable donations within their hospital accounts.

We would like to reassure all our donors and supporters that all donations – past, present and future – to The Grand Appeal and The Cots for Tots Appeal will be held in the Appeal’s accounts and will not be consolidated with the Bristol Children’s Hospital,  St Michael’s Hospital or the University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust accounts.

The Trustees of the Grand Appeal and The Cots for Tots Appeal remain in total control of all grants given to the Bristol Children’s Hospital and St Michael’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and we remain entirely independent of the NHS.

The Grand Appeal is an independent charity which exists to support and enhance the facilities of the Bristol Children’s Hospital and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and we will not fund any expenditure which is the direct responsibility of the NHS.

For any queries, please contact the Grand Appeal on 0117 9273888.
