Paul's House is our dedicated accommodation for families for patients in Bristol Children's Hospital.

Being miles from home and having a child in hospital can be incredibly stressful. Open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, Paul's House is home to families of patients undergoing major or prolonged treatment.

This vital home-from-home has been made possible thanks to generous support Children with Cancer UK, The Morrisons Foundation, The Garfield Weston Foundation, The Sir Jules Thorn Charitable Trust, The Wolfson Foundation and the Callum St John and Maisie Gibbins Star Tribute Funds.

“Children with Cancer UK are a long-standing supporter of the Bristol Children’s Hospital charity, The Grand Appeal and Paul’s House, which provides much-needed accommodation to families affected by childhood cancer. When a child is diagnosed with cancer, families face considerable emotional and financial hardships, this is why it is crucial we support patients and their families throughout their treatment journeys.

Accommodation homes enable families to stay together, close to where children are treated, effectively giving them one less thing to worry about. We are incredibly proud to support the important work of Bristol Children’s Hospital and Paul’s House, and look forward to our continued collaboration in the future.” Jason Rigby, Director of Fundraising and Communications, Children with Cancer UK.

Paul’s House takes its name from Paul O’Gorman, whose family founded the charity Children with Cancer UK. The charity has supported The Grand Appeal and the hospital over the last 18 years, helping to fund pioneering equipment, including the 3T intraoperative MRI scanner and of course the Bristol Children's Hospital building, which is named the Paul O'Gorman Building.
