Paul’s House opened in 2018. It’s located directly beside The Grand Appeal’s head office and is just across the road from Bristol Children’s Hospital. It was named after Paul O’Gorman, whose family founded Children with Cancer UK, which helped fund the creation of the children’s hospital through a generous grant.
Paul’s House is located opposite Bristol Children’s Hospital at 30-32 Upper Maudlin Street, BS2 8DJ.
Suzanne, mum of patient LillianHaving a room in Paul’s House meant absolutely everything to us, and we are so grateful we had this opportunity. The people in the house were so friendly and accommodating.
With Bristol Children’s Hospital serving the largest geographical area of any children’s hospital in England, patients can come from as far as Cornwall, Gloucester or South Wales. So, for families with children being treated in Bristol Children’s Hospital, Paul’s House is a vital lifeline. It provides a welcoming, comfortable, free place to stay for as long as families need it.

Anne, Family Accommodation ManagerPaul’s House offers so much to families. Not only the proximity of being simply a stone’s throw from the hospital, but a lovely comfortable room, with all the facilities they need, and the support, love, and care of The Grand Appeal during their stay.
