Family accommodation for families of critical care patients at Bristol Children's Hospital
Located just opposite the hospital on Upper Maudlin Street, Paul's House features eight en-suite bedrooms over three floors. It also has two communal kitchens and a laundry room, providing parents and families with a free, private and comfortable home-from-home just moments away from their child at Bristol Children’s Hospital.
This vital service has been made possible thanks to generous support from our amazing fundraisers, corporate partners as well as major grants from Children with Cancer UK, The Morrisons Foundation, The Garfield Weston Foundation, The Sir Jules Thorn Charitable Trust, The Wolfson Foundation and the Callum St John and Maisie Gibbins Star Tribute Funds.
Paul’s House takes its name from Paul O’Gorman, whose family founded the charity Children with Cancer UK. The charity has supported The Grand Appeal and the hospital over the last 18 years, helping to fund the pioneering equipment, including the 3T intraoperative MRI scanner and of course the Bristol Children's Hospital building, which is named the Paul O'Gorman Building.
