Penguin Ward at Bristol Children's Hospital
The Children’s Surgical Ward is recognised as a centre of excellence, treating children on a local, regional and national scale. The Ward receives approximately 2,500 patients per year from the local population, across the region and beyond. They treat patients and their families from newborn to 16 years with complex surgical conditions, sometimes requiring repeated admissions throughout their childhood.
The multi-disciplinary team are highly skilled and provide support, education and care to all those involved in the child’s experience, both in the hospital and when transferred or discharged to their local area.
