'Your NICU story' - The Grand Appeal

Each baby on the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has their own story.

There will be ups and downs along the way but knowing just how unique their journey will be, we are enormously proud to have created a diary in collaboration with the Unit for parents to use throughout their time at St Michael’s Hospital.

The new ‘Your NICU Story’ diary is a place for parents to record precious memories that will form a keepsake for years to come; whether it’s the first time their baby opens their eyes or perhaps their first smile or even the very first time they hold their baby after weeks of watching them grow stronger inside an incubator.

This project is a part of our ongoing commitment to both these tiny patients and their brave families. We hope that by being able to document their child’s journey it will help parents process the worries and stresses that come with having a special care baby.
