Meet the stars

  • monarch gromit

    Monarch

    Artist:
    Ruth Broadway
    Location:
    The Mall at Cribbs Causeway

After a long time in his cocoon, this pollinating pup has emerged as something quite beautiful. Inspired by the spectral designs of Monarch butterflies, much like his little friend perched on his nose, this Gromit’s display of vibrant colour is truly spectacular.

  • no probllama sculpture

    No Probllama

    Artist:
    Emily Ketteringham
    Location:
    The Mall at Cribbs Causeway

Hike up the Andes with this trusty shee We mean llama! This little llama is quite the companion, saddled up and ready for work. Inspired by the traditional decorations typically adorning llamas across Peru and other South American countries. Be careful not to get spat on, otherwise there will be probllama’s!

  • reef encounter

    Reef Encounter

    Artist:
    Paula Bowles
    Location:
    The Mall at Cribbs Causeway

Head to a place in the land down under with The Grand Adventure’s colourful and vibrant Gromit. ‘Reef Encounter’ exhibits the beautiful creatures and coral of the largest coral reef system on Earth. Located off the coast of Australia, say g’day to the Great Barrier Reef.

  • rio

    Rio

    Artist:
    Emily Ketteringham
    Location:
    The Mall at Cribbs Causeway

Down in the jungle where nobody goes, there’s a leafy looking doggo with a colourful nose. Representing South America, Rio beautifully reflects the Amazon Rainforest with tropical leaves covering him head to toe and with a special three-toed sloth hanging from ‘name’s’ side

  • shanghai shaun sculpture

    Shanghai Shaun

    Artist:
    Ashley Boddy
    Location:
    The Mall at Cribbs Causeway

Meet Shanghai Shaun’, a striking tribute to the legendary dragons of Chinese mythology. Shanghai Shaun featured in 2015’s Shaun in the City trail in London. He takes the form of a Chinese door guardian, believed to offer protection in Chinese folklore and commonly placed in pairs outside the entrances to homes, businesses, and temples.

  • sirius sculpture gromit

    Sirius

    Artist:
    Harriet Lee Merrian
    Location:
    The Mall at Cribbs Causeway

Oh, to be the brightest star in the Earth’s night sky. Shining bright with intrinsic luminosity, the glowing celestial Dog Star is one sirius-ly vibrant star. This beaming beagle is part of the Canis Major constellation and Latin for ‘the greater dog’. And what greater dog is there none other than Gromit himself?

  • Sunny Yellow gromit

    Sunny

    Artist:
    Dave Bain
    Location:
    The Mall at Cribbs Causeway

Always look on the bright side with Sunny’, the most positive pooch around. With his uplifting colours and hippie flowers, there’s little chance of you feeling down with him around.  His motivational and cheery quotes mean this Gromit is nothing but good vibes!

  • sea of hope

    The Sea of Hope

    Artist:
    Dorophy Tang
    Location:
    The Mall at Cribbs Causeway

‘The Sea of Hope’ captures the power, drama and beauty of the sea, depicted in swirling blues and stylised patterns. Created for Gromit Unleashed Hong Kong, artist Dorophy Tang is infamous for pop culture interpretations, taking on warped Chinese traditions with a firm focus on cute chubby baby characters – these little tots certainly look like they’re enjoying their swim.

  • Tickled Pink Coral

    Tickled Pink

    Artist:
    Amy Timms
    Location:
    The Mall at Cribbs Causeway

Feathers McGraw is at it again! This time, he’s ditched his chicken costume for something brighter. Admire the glam of his pink plumage and perhaps poke fun at his short and stumpy legs. Tickled Pink’ Feathers is inspired by the shrimp pink tones and beady orange eyes of the fancy flamingos. This crafty penguin may fool some, but he doesn’t fool us!

  • wings

    Wings

    Location:
    The Mall at Cribbs Causeway

The ever-so-elegant ‘Wings’ Gromit is a delightful dragon, symbolising power, strength and good luck. Melbourne artist Sonia Kretschmar based her design on her idiosyncratic take on a Chinese dragon. Sonia was fascinated with the idea that many buildings in Hong Kong have been designed to accommodate the needs of dragons, so designing Wings was a natural choice.
