Meet ‘Santabot’

Norbot, the star of Aardman’s latest film, Wallace & Gromit: Vengeance Most Fowl, has had a festive makeover… Just in time for Christmas!

Designed by Gromit Unleashed royalty Emily Golden and painted by Ruth Broadway, Norbot the smart gnome has been transformed into ‘Santabot’.

This neat and tidy Norbot stands at one-metre-tall, making him the perfect Christmas decoration for your home or garden.

Our Gromit Unleashed sculptures usually find their home at auction, where they’re sold for over £10,000. Back in October, one of our mini Norbots, ‘Rainbert’, sold for an incredible £32,000 at the Gromit Unleashed 3 Auction

But this mini Norbot will be driving gnome for Christmas with our lucky winner… and all it takes is a £2 raffle ticket!

Shine Bright for Children’s Hospital

‘Santabot’ isn’t just here on a whim. He has travelled all the way from the North Pole to be a part of ‘Shine Bright for Bristol Children’s Hospital’

Our annual event sees fundraisers across the South West decorate their homes with all things seasonal in support of sick children and babies. Find out where your nearest display is with the nifty virtual map. You might also spot two more festive Norbots: ‘Twinkle’ and ‘Sugar and Spice’ along the way.

‘Santabot’ is joining the legendary Christmas Dubs, who are covering their VWs in fairy lights and decorations for the ninth year in a row in support of The Grand Appeal. These festive fundraisers have raised an unbelievable £85,000 and counting for sick kids and their families!

Look out for ‘Santabot’ cruising around Bristol and beyond this Christmas. Together with ‘Jingles’, our Christmas elf Gromit sculpture, ‘Santabot’ will be visiting light displays and spreading festive cheer from Friday 21 November until New Year’s Day.

Keep an eye on the Christmas Dubs’ Facebook page to catch them at their next stop.

The Grand Appeal’s The Patient Hotel

In true Christmas spirit, the money raised from raffle tickets is going somewhere magical: The Grand Appeal’s Patient Hotel. The first of its kind in the UK, this facility will provide sick children and their families with accommodation, rehabilitation and treatment spaces under one roof.

Crucially, the Patient Hotel will allow children to leave the hospital’s clinical setting as their intensive treatment and care comes to an end. It will be a space for patients and their families to rest and recover as the child undergoes the final stages of their treatment.

If you’re not sold already, discover more about The Grand Appeal’s Patient Hotel today.

So, what are you waiting for? Don’t miss your chance to take ‘Santabot’ home AND help fund a groundbreaking project for sick children.

Grab your raffle ticket today and feel good knowing you’ve done good this Christmas.
