Bristol Children’s Hospital Shines Bright for Sick Children

Share this:

Last night we kicked off the countdown to Christmas in true Grand Appeal style.

With the help of our generous supporters, Bristol Children’s Hospital lit up to bring Christmas cheer to the sick children who will spend their Christmas far from home, in hospital.

Alongside the hospital’s iconic lollipops, the lights will be switched on at dusk until 8.30 pm every day in December, projecting sparkle and shine across the city. And more importantly, showing patients and their families just how much you care.

Featuring seasonal stars and our latest Gromit Unleashed sculpture, Noël, the special projection is the centrepiece of our ‘Shine Bright for Bristol Children’s Hospital’ campaign. If you’re passing by Upper Maudlin Street, you can enjoy the lights in person.

Of course, all of this wouldn’t be possible without the help of our Grand Appeal family.

Taunton-based hydraulic engineers, Rotec Hydraulics Ltd, is the kind donor behind the star of the show, Christmas canine Noèl.

Meanwhile, other businesses from Bristol and beyond, including CAMB Machine Knives International, Rolls-Royce, Osborne Clarke and Etex, as well as our selfless major donors, have all donated towards their very own star.

Do you want to be a part of it? Don’t worry, there’s still time! If you or your business are interested in being a part of our Christmas campaign, get in touch.

Or could you host your own light display? We’re calling on the Bristol community to create their own and raise money for critically ill children. Find out how you can shine bright for Bristol Children’s Hospital.

Whatever you decide to do, your support will help children not just at Christmas but all year around.
