From running trainers to hiking boots and fairy wings to Wrong Trousers – CMS Bristol have worn it all when it comes to fundraising for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s Hospital and in the process, they have raised an amazing £10,000! After a colleague’s son was born with a serious heart condition and received lifesaving care, the team were inspired to raise money.
David Abel, Partner at CMSI put Cots for Tots forward as our charity of the year after my son received lifesaving treatment from the wonderful staff at St Michaels NICU. From my experience, it is clear that the equipment provided by Cots for Tots and the on-site family accommodation makes a real difference to critically ill babies and their families in the most difficult of circumstances.
Our fundraising heroes at CMS got creative by organising office dress down days, pizza parties, BBQ’s and sport fantasy leagues as well as taking on physical challenges including a 5km run around Arthurs Seat in Edinburgh and ascents of Pen y Fan, the highest peak in South Wales. Smashing their target of 50 ascents, the high spirited team actually managed a whopping 70 ascents in one day!
We can’t thank everyone at CMS enough for putting their best foot forward and raising such an incredible total, helping to save tiny lives from across Bristol and beyond.
