There’s a whole host of ways you can raise money for Bristol Children’s Hospital and St Michael’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit without even opening your purse.
As you’re doing your weekly food shop or clearing out your wardrobe, you could be changing the lives of sick babies and children simply by making the quick and easy services on this page a part of your routine.
Shop Online
Shopping online through Give as you Live and Easyfundraising lets you donate to charity at no extra cost. Anybody can get involved if you shop at one of the thousands of retailers listed, which range from M&S to Booking.com and Moonpig.
As a “thank you” for sending the retailers customers, the online store pays Give as you Live and Easyfundraising a commission. This commission is used to make a donation to your chosen charity.
Here’s an example: if you complete a £100 shop with Sainsbury’s via Give as you Live, they will donate up to 7.5% to charity, which would mean a £7.50 donation to us. The percentage of your purchase that’s donated to us varies by retailer, but every penny helps us.
Have a Clear Out
Whether you’re selling an antique tome or the bike you never used, you can donate a portion of your sale to The Grand Appeal when you sell through eBay for Charity.
Head to our pages for The Grand Appeal and Cots for Tots. By clicking the heart, you can choose us as one of your favourite charities.
When you list your item, The Grand Appeal and Cots for Tots will appear when you select to ‘Donate a portion to charity’. Decide what percentage of the sale you’d like to give to Bristol Children’s Hospital or St Michael’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and you’re all set!
If you donate 10% or more, you’re eligible for a reduction in your seller fees, and your item may even get listed in eBay’s Charity Shop.
Sell Your Old Vehicle
Are you looking to sell or scrap your old vehicle? Giveacar is a not-for-profit social enterprise that can turn your old car into a charitable donation.
They will arrange for free collection, then either sell your car at auction or scrap it, with the proceeds going to support The Grand Appeal. Whether it’s a motorbike, car, van or even a campervan, you’ll find it quick and easy to arrange.
