V Cars raise over £3,000 for Bristol Children’s Hospital

Unprecedented challenges haven’t stopped some of our corporate supporters from helping Bristol Children’s Hospital.

Ending 2020 on a high, V Cars’ Christmas campaign raised over £3,230. A donation was made every time a taxi was booked via their app in Bristol during the festive period, helping to raise vital funds to support some of the region’s sickest children.

We are delighted to have raised this sum for this fantastic cause. The work of The Grand Appeal clearly struck a chord with those choosing to book through our app and we really appreciate that.

Jack Price – Regional Director for V Cars

V Cars, the South West’s largest taxi company, also had a helping hand from Bristol Bears hooker Harry Thacker, who joined the private hire taxi firm for the launch of their fundraising drive.

Harry and his young family know first-hand how incredible Bristol Children’s Hospital is. Harry’s six-month-old baby daughter was born with a heart condition and has received care at the children’s hospital ever since. Wanting to give back, Harry, who along with Helen, our Corporate Partnerships Manager, appeared at Ashton Gate to encourage the people of Bristol to make their car miles matter.

With the pandemic continuing to impact on our fundraising, companies like V Cars really make a difference to the work we do. We want to thank everyone that participated in this cracking campaign.
