It might be wintery outside but we’re casting our minds back to a summer full of sunshine.
Thanks to our spectacular sponsors, locations, Trailblazers – NMI, Renishaw, Rolls-Royce plc and the University of Bristol – and our outstanding partners, in 2018 we created the world’s first interactive sculpture trail – a fusion of art and science in a beautiful reflection of Bristol’s diverse heritage whilst raising money for Bristol Children’s Hospital.
Millions of you flocked to Bristol to enjoy Gromit Unleashed 2, and hunt down our 67 sculptures with designs from international household names such as LEGO, Disney Pixar, DreamWorks Animation, Minions and Star Trek based on Aardman Animations’ iconic characters. And what made it extra special? Our fans, of course! Whether they dressed up as their favourite sculpture, brought their four-legged friends along for the fun or shared their cracking sculpture snaps, we’re proud to have the most dedicated fans out there.
But the trail wasn’t just a grand day out for all the family. Its legacy will be felt for years to come by sick children and their families from across the South West, South Wales and beyond.
It’s because of our amazing supporters that we’re able to fund more pioneering projects and help more children and families than ever before. And to say thank you, we caught up with parents, staff and patients at the hospital and NICU, who are just a handful of thousands of people who are so grateful everything you do for them.
