The Greg and Wirt Charity Auction is now closed!

Last year, our friends at Aardman produced an enchanting stop-motion special to celebrate 10 years of the beloved Cartoon Network series, ‘Over the Garden Wall’.

The team behind this adored short have chosen to auction these unique, signed sculptures to help us raise funds for Bristol Children’s Hospital… and you could take them home!

As autumn colours fall, it’s time once again to wander into The Unknown with a special charity auction.

Commemorating the beloved Cartoon Network series ‘Over the Garden Wall’, we’re offering you the chance to get some unique memorabilia from Aardman’s stop-motion short film ‘An Elephant Never Forgets’, released in 2024 to celebrate 10 years of this incredible series.

We have one-of-a-kind figures of Greg and Wirt for you to own, signed by series creator Patrick McHale and directors Dan Ojari and Mikey Please.

About the auction

All proceeds will raise funds for sick children and their families at Bristol Children’s Hospital.

The auction begins on Sunday 26 October at 12 pm and ends on Monday 3 November at 7 pm.

About the sculptures

These unique, handmade sculptures were crafted using the original moulds and materials from the short film.

Sculpted to resemble carved wooden toys, they look as though they’ve come straight from the Toymaker’s workshop. Like the original puppets, these have been cast in resin, recreating every exact detail right down to the wood grain and hand-painted finish.

They’re the ultimate collector’s items for ‘Over the Garden Wall’ super fans!

We’ve loved working on such wonderful characters, and if they weren’t going to such a great cause, we’d happily keep them for ourselves!

Lot 1: Greg

“Holy moly, hot dog!” Small, round and full of charm, this hand-crafted sculpture of the gregarious Greg is up for grabs.

This figure depicts Greg as seen in the 2024 stop motion short ‘An Elephant Never Forgets’, celebrating the 10th anniversary of ‘Over the Garden Wall’.

Cast from the original moulds and standing 15cm tall, this sculpture replicates the wooden toy look of the short film. Greg is carrying his ‘sticky’ stick, including a leaf collected from the miniature forest set. Handcrafted by original puppet maker Joshua Flynn.

Lot 2: Wirt

This figure depicts Wirt, the stoic big brother to Greg, who was voiced by Elijah Wood in the 2024 stop motion short ‘An Elephant Never Forgets’.

Cast from original moulds and standing 24cm tall, this sculpture replicates the wooden toy look of the short film. Mounted on an oak display base and signed by ‘Over the Garden Wall’ creator Patrick McHale and ‘An Elephant Never Forgets’ directors Mikey Please and Dan Ojari. Crafted by original puppet maker Nathan Flynn.
