When is The Grand Adventure taking place?
The dates for the exhibition are Saturday 24 October to Sunday 21 February 2021.
Where does The Grand Adventure take place?
You can find our new exhibition at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway in Bristol, UK.
When is The Mall at Cribbs Causeway open?
The Mall at Cribbs Causeway is open from Monday – Wednesday 9.30 am – 8 pm, Thursday and Friday 9.30 am – 9 pm, Saturday 9 am – 8 pm and Sunday 11 am – 5 pm

Which Aardman character(s) will feature in the trail?
The Grand Adventure features sculptures of Gromit, Wallace, Feathers McGraw, and Shaun the Sheep.
Where will the sculptures be located?
The sculptures will be located inside The Mall at Cribbs Causeway. A map will be available from the Gromit Unleashed Shop and can be downloaded from our website. Please do follow the trail on the recommended route as this follows The Mall’s social distancing procedures and will allow visitors to enjoy the trail safely.
What social distancing measures will you have in place?
As the sculptures are located at The Mall, all visitors must follow the COVID-secure procedures that are currently in place for the venue. Please follow the signage directions on the floor to respect social distancing measures. There are 2-metre stickers on the floor to guide you so you can keep a safe distance.
Please note that it is mandatory to wear a face-covering upon entry to The Mall. Only those with medical conditions and disabilities or children under the age of 11 will be exempt.
For this mini trail, we will also be placing the sculptures out of reach to reduce the risk of virus transmission and any assets will be available to download from our website.
Can I touch the sculptures?
The sculptures are on display for you to enjoy but please do not touch the sculptures or other surrounding surfaces. All of the sculptures will either be out of reach of within a marked ‘no-entry- area.
Do I need to wear a face-covering?
Yes, all visitors to The Mall at Cribbs Causeway are required to wear a face-covering upon entry to the centre. Only those with medical conditions and disabilities, or children under the age of 11 will be exempt.
What should I do if there are too many visitors?
If the sculpture you are trying to view is in high demand, we kindly ask that you continue on your travels around the centre and return to it at a later time. Please consult the 'quieter times' information below to help you enjoy your visit safely and please be mindful of other visitors. The Grand Adventure will now close on Sunday 21 February 2021. To avoid large crowds please consider visiting after Christmas.
When should I visit to avoid large crowds?
The Mall at Cribbs Causeway is quieter after 3 pm during the week, Monday to Friday.
What if I want to pick up a map or purchase merchandise but The Gromit Unleashed shop is at capacity?
To keep our customers safe, we currently cap the number of visitors in our store at any one time. If the store is too busy, we have a marked queuing system in place outside. If the queue is also full we kindly ask you to return at a later time, alternatively, the map can be downloaded and merchandise can be purchased from our website.
I am isolating, can I still enjoy the exhibition without visiting The Mall?
Yes. We have made sure that all the details of all of our sculptures as well as a 360-degree tour of the exhibition are available on our website so you can still see all of the designs in all their glory without having to visit. We will also be covering the latest news and updates from The Grand Adventure on our social media channels @gromitunleashed and @thegrandappeal.
Will there be an app for this event?
While our trails see sculptures spread far and wide throughout Bristol and beyond, The Grand Adventure is designed to be enjoyed while you visit The Mall at Cribbs Causeway.
Instead of an app, you’ll be able to pick up a passport to help you navigate. With quizzes and the chance to win a special prize, the passport contains plenty of activities to keep you entertained while you travel around the world with our pals Wallace & Gromit.

Unfortunately, we are unable to post maps to individuals as we are a charity with a small team. If you are unable to pick up a passport from the locations listed on this page, you can download your own copy.
Will the trail sculptures be available to buy at the end of the event?
Not this time around! We’re keeping on to our new sculptures for just a little longer and who knows this might not be the last time you see them…
Can I buy a sculpture?
Our sculptures are usually auctioned off in support of Bristol Children’s Hospital. They can range from £20,000 to £50,000. While our sculptures aren’t currently available for sale, please contact us if you have a specific request.
Can I get involved with fundraising?
Yes! We would love your support to raise as much money as possible for Bristol Children's Hospital and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Find out how you can become part of our fundraising family.

You can buy official Gromit Unleashed merchandise at our Gromit Unleashed shop at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway, and online.
Our flagship store at The Mall at Cribbs Causeway will be the best place to visit to see our full range but you will also be able to find a smaller selection of products at Gromit Unleashed HQ on Upper Maudlin Street opposite Bristol Children’s Hospital.
Do profits from my purchase go to The Grand Appeal charity?
All profits from sales of our merchandise go to us, The Grand Appeal, to help support sick children and babies from Bristol and beyond.
