Thanks to some serious pedal power from our brilliant team of 18 cyclists, the Land's End to Bristol team came home victorious, having covered 240 (hilly!) miles in just four days, raising nearly £40K for our Emergency Department Appeal and the bereavement services at Bristol Children's Hospital.
Our intrepid cyclists covered much of the catchment area that the children’s hospital covers, including Cornwall, Devon and Somerset, and we are in awe of their outstanding achievement!
The team was cheered back to Bristol Children’s Hospital on Sunday afternoon by families, friends and fellow supporters of #TeamGrandAppeal before being treated to a reception and well-earned pizzas, kindly donated by Zero Degrees!
A huge thank you, and an even bigger round of applause, to the entire team including: our Trustees Simon Cooper and David Sproxton, who also led Aardriders Claire, Craig, Jez, Kitty, Michael, Olly and Richard; our wonderful individual fundraisers Tim, Lee, Paul, Dave, Giles, Ian, Jon and Andrew; and last but not least the amazing rider support team from Adventerous Ewe, our very own Community Fundraiser Kate Jones and of course our generous sponsors Barcan+Kirby.
