We're delighted that superstar Bristolian Stephen Merchant has joined Team Grand Appeal to support this year's Wrong Trousers Day!
International comedy star, writer and actor Stephen Merchant kindly took time out from his busy filming schedule to don the cheesiest pair of long, wrong trousers we could find, shot at the iconic Hippodrome venue, to encourage fellow Bristolians to get involved in The Grand Appeal’s annual fundraising event.
Stephen Merchant said:
“As the leggiest Bristolian I know, except that bloke who was Darth Vadar, I'm proud to don my stylish cheese-themed Wrong Trousers and support The Grand Appeal. Bristol Children’s Hospital is vital to the South West, and local families like mine. The charity does amazing work to improve the lives of sick children. Wrong Trousers Day is a fun way to raise money for the children’s hospital, so please get involved on Friday 30th June!"
Stephen returned to the West Country on a flying visit in-between filming the latest blockbuster Wolverine movie, Logan.
Inspired by the classic Oscar®-winning Wallace & Gromit film The Wrong Trousers, we are calling on schools, offices, groups and individuals like Stephen from all over the South West to don their very own “wrong trousers” to raise money for the 100,000 sick children and babies that the hospital cares for each year.
