Kate and Mark's Cracking Quiz Night!
We want to shout about two terrific fundraisers who have tirelessly raised money for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in memory of their two children.
In 2014 Kate and Mark heartbreakingly lost their daughter Tilly. After suffering with abdominal pains Kate was rushed to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at St Michael’s where Tilly was stillborn at 32 weeks. This devastating blow was only lessened when the couple learnt Kate was pregnant again but sadly a year on Kate and Mark heartbreakingly also lost their baby boy Noah who was born with underdeveloped lungs. Kate had suffered a premature rupture of the membrane during her pregnancy which meant Noah had be born with a slim chance of survival and despite the NICU team’s best efforts Noah passed away in his parent’s arms.
Through this painful experience Kate and Mark learnt about Cots for Tots House. Despite not staying at the house themselves, they were inspired by the importance it plays for many families going through difficult times as well as the support they received from the outstanding NICU team. Since this time they have fundraised endlessly for Cots for Tots and their latest efforts have seen them throw a cracking charity quiz night. The event included 12 teams, a raffle and even a surprise donation from One Stop shops who had kindly been collecting from their stores across the region.
Kate and Mark have raised over £3,600 through their quiz night meaning their impressive grand total stands at an astonishing £7,000! We can’t thank this incredible couple and their daughter Freya enough for their support and want to congratulate them on their amazing efforts!
