Give a family of a sick child a place to stay
We urgently need your help to open more family accommodation
Every day a child is rushed to Bristol for life-saving treatment. Whilst staff at the hospital work around the clock to save their life, mum and dad find themselves miles from home and in need of somewhere to stay. With your help, we can create a new home-from-home, where they can rest, grab a bite to eat and take a shower to help prepare themselves for the day ahead.
By donating today, you can transform our latest house into a comfortable, warm and welcoming place to stay. Simply type in 'Family Accommodation' when making your donation.
- £20 could ensure fresh towels await mum and dad at the end of an emotionally exhausting day.
- £40 could buy comfortable bedding to help them rest, when sleep seems impossible.
- £100 could provide a microwave, toaster and kettle making sure our families can steal a moment for themselves.
- £500 could provide a sofa bed for grandparents, siblings or friends to stay over and be there to support each other.
Staying close by your child's bedside means the world to parents. Parents like Anna, whose 11-year-old son, Braham, was left in a critical condition after falling 200 feet into a ravine. Thousands of miles from their home in Los Angeles, Anna's family was given a place to stay at our home-from-home, Paul's House. This not only eased the financial pressure of having to stay in city centre hotels but also the stress of being separated from her injured child.
Thankfully, Braham is now home and making great progress. But Anna will be forever grateful for the care and support her family received in their time of need.
