Young People's Drug Treatment Service
The Grand appeal funds weekly activity sessions for the Bristol Children's Hospital's Young People's Drug Treatment Service. This is a highly specialised agency for adolescents aged 12-18 years of age with the most severe and complex drug misuse problems in Bristol and the surrounding areas.
HIV Nurse
Funding for a Senior Nurse to provide complete care for a child or adolescent with HIV and his or her family through giving them a network of support throughout the NHS, social services, along with educational and charitable support available locally. The nurse also works with other hospital staff and on wards in an educational and advisory role helping to establish effective care for children and their families with HIV.
